You are invited to participate in a study conducted by Josanne Walters-Joseph, a student in
the Department of Psychology at The College of Science, Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad
and Tobago (COSTAATT). If you decide to participate in this study, please read carefully the
information provided below prior to signing this consent form (signing is achieved by clicking
the box to continue). This document describes the study and your rights as a participant in
this research.
- Description of Research: This study is designed to explore aspects related to Perceived
Stress, Anxiety and Procrastination. To assess this, participants will be administered
questionmaires which will ask questions on these topics.
- Risks and Discomforts to Study Participants: Potential risks may include mild discomfort
when asked questions about Perceived Stress, Anxiety and Procrastination Tendencies.
- Benefits to Research Participants: Everyone who participates in this study will be
contributing directly to knowledge of Perceived Stress, Anxiety and Procrastination.
- Confidentiality of Research Data: Absolute confidentiality of data and records will be
maintained. All hard copies of raw data will be kept under locked secure conditions and your
responses will remain anonymous.
- Your participation in this study is voluntary. If you decide to participate, you are free
to withdraw your consent and discontinue participation at any time without penalty. The
final thesis research committee at the Department of Psychology of The College of Science,
Technology and Applied Arts of Trinidad and Tobago has reviewed and approved the procedures
for this present research.
- The results indicated at the end of this questionnaire are NOT in any form a clinical
diagnosis.
